Halloween, Hazel's Birthday and Gingerbread on Parade!

Ok so here is the Czech Church Vysehrad!! It was really fun to do and we were so glad to have it safely delivered to the Kanesville Tabernacle.
Morgan had the ingenious idea to cut candy bars through the middle to look like stones.

Well Hazel is now 6 and was so happy to open her presents. Thanks Grandpa and Grandma.

Hazel's good friend Alex brought her a cute gift. SO Sweet!

Make A Wish!! Once we saw this picture Morgan and I wondered what in the world is wrong with this banana split? Can't we splurge on a birthday at least? What is that? A half a cup of ice cream? Ah well, she just wanted the candle anyway.

This is our attempt of recreating Leatherby's Family Creamery. This was her wish. She said if we were in Utah that is where she would go for her birthday so Morgan made posters, I made soup in bread bowls like she always orders and we had her favorite banana splits! It was fun.

He is so talented. Here are his posters. Thanks Dad Another great poster to create the atmosphere.

We took doughnuts and cider to her kindergarten class this is Mrs. Callahan and the students singing to Hazel.

Wow did they score or what? We still have most of this in a bag put away. I think we will still have some to hand out next year. HAHA

So we may have traced it but I am still proud of my carving!!

I loved this I thought it was SO cute.
Our friends had us over Halloween night for dinner. We had a great time!! Here are our kids and Will the lion and Madison the camoflauge princess.

Sleeping Beauty is exhausted and she collapsed after trick or treating right on the floor. It may take more than true loves kiss to wake this Aurora.

We met Dorothy at the zoo for trick or treating with her class. She was perfect!! She worked all day on clicking her shoes and by the time we met her that afternoon she had the old "there's no place like home" down.. She was so proud.

Here is Peter Parker or "Spiderman" with his teacher Miss Stephanie.

Marcus has had it!!!! First a super man and then a monkey, he needs another nap to get through all this dressing up.

It's a bird! It's a plane! It's SUPERMAN!!!! Has there EVER been a cuter picture? Oh, I just LOVE my little boy. He cracks me up.

Say CHEESE girls.

Good Morning!! Marcus is wondering where the food is. He ate 2 bowls of grits, eggs, pancakes, bacon, and everything else in sight.

Make A Wish!!! Happy Birthday Mary we love you so much!!

Hooray. Fancy Nancy!!

GO COUGARS!!! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma.

We figured since she got a sleeping bag for her birthday, they better have a sleep over. They LOVE this.

Mini-Vans and Elementary Schools!!!

SO you all know I have nothing against minivans. In fact I just traded our Expedition in for one. And I am so happy we did. And as for Elementary Schools, now we have 2 in school. Amazing!! SO what is so interesting about these 2 things? Well I'll tell you. Other people have them too! Ok here is the explanation.... Since I have decided to join you all in the 21st Century and start blogging I have been pleasantly surprised to find old friends I have not seen since high school graduation ( really) have their children packed in the van and headed to school. I love it!!! I know it shouldn't be a surprise and I guess it wasn't really, I think it was just because of the fact that I haven't see so many of these people since before they were married. It has been so much fun to see this new generation of beautiful, perfect and happy children born to parents who were just recently children themselves. Do they know there mom used to drive around in the Bronco with her best friend wearing Motorcycle helmets with an empty Big Gulp cup taped to the roof? Their dad stood in front of his math class and rapped like Vanilla Ice? Their dad and his friends put the couch on the roof to play cards? And a million other crazy teenage pranks. Can you believe how we have grown up? We have spouses and children, mortgages and student loans; now we are the young women and young men LEADERS; we are the ones packing lunches, buying school clothes, and keeping others quiet during sacrament meeting (trying). I am so happy at this stage in my life. The happiest I've ever been. I love being a wife to my loving, patient and handsome husband and a mother of 4 of the cutest and funniest children on the planet. And I am overjoyed to see you all in the same stage of life. I just love to see you all doing what you are doing.

Happy FIRST Birthday Marcus. What a good boy he is. I adore this little chub. We had a great day. Hazel, Matt and Mary were more excited than he was. In the morning we went to Music Makers and they sang happy birthday to him. I unexpectedly got choked up. As I held back the tears I felt such love for my baby boy. I can't believe he is 1 year old now and learning new things everyday. It is such a joy to have him in our home and to hold him and snuggle him everyday. We are so blessed to have him in our family.
Thanks for the birthday party mom. I love his kisses
We love a party!!
And Dad loves cupcakes
He obviously loves his new toys, Thanks Grandpa and Grandma.
A little story behind the shirt... I thought it was so cute but do they have a first birthday shirt in a size 24 months?
I decided this was the easiest way to let Marcus loose with his cake and have some for the rest of us too. Hazel was actually really worried about this so we did a cupcake balloon boquet and the kids got to frost them. It was a great time.
Is he bored or is he getting a new tooth. Let's say the latter.
Oh Yah!!!! Life is sweet. Being 1 is good stuff!
Do I have something on my face?
Want some? Are you SURE?
He escaped in the middle of a diaper change. Crawled away as fast as he could and posed.
His new trick, he folds his arms every time we pray. In fact, the other day during a busy lunch Matt, Mary and I started eating and I looked at him and he was waiting to pray. Who would've thought I could be kept on the path by a 12 month old. I love him so much!!
He has been doing this for months and I have always told my self I would capture it but I always had my hands full of him and holding a bottle so I finally got it. He used to play with my hair and would pull my hair out so once I pulled my hair back he went to his own. It puts him right out.
He is always so good to give kisses.
On the morning of his birthday he woke up to balloons and decorations.
